Throughout 2022, I have been studying the birds that live in my backyard. As I get to know their daily behaviors, their communities, and the way that they coexist, I am constantly inspired. My bird work this far include a large mural, many sketches in watercolor, pencil, and collage, mixed media, and sculptures. Birds have become a rich territory for developing symbols, opportunities for exploring metaphors.
